On the Conservative’s website they say,
“We need to help those elderly people who are amongst the most vulnerable in our society.”
In Tory-run Medway, the Council has repeatedly tried to increase the cost of essential services for the most vulnerable.
In 2009, they proposed increasing the cost of Meals on Wheels by 40%. They were eventually forced into an embarassing u-turn and a rise in line with inflation.
They have also increased the cost of burials year after year.
